What the Familiarity Costs Annually

Registered agent service at LegalZoom is $249 a year. The rate is flat, it renews on its own, and a July 2026 review turned up no introductory discount attached to the first twelve months. Nothing about that is hidden or misrepresented. It is simply a large recurring number for a duty that New Mexico defines identically no matter whose logo is on the invoice.

Set It Against What the State Itself Charged

New Mexico is a cheap place to own a company, and the numbers are worth putting in one column.

The fee for filing original articles of organization and receiving a certificate back is fixed at fifty dollars by NMSA 1978, § 53-19-63(A). It is charged one time, at birth, and the Secretary of State never asks a New Mexico LLC for money on a schedule after that.
